Cyber security for Wirral businesses
Run so problems get caught before you notice them
Independent, on the Wirral, Microsoft partner. You deal with Eric, and the person who scopes the work is the person who does it.
Six questions, about two minutes. You get a written fix list in the order worth closing things, and you keep it either way. We reply within 2 working hours.
Most IT security is sold on how fast someone answers when it goes wrong. We would rather it did not go wrong. Proper monitoring, patching and tested backups mean problems get caught early, and usually before you have noticed anything.

You should not have to chase your IT provider
Read enough reviews of UK IT providers and the same story repeats. Chasing for updates. A ticket that disappears into a queue. Being passed from person to person. Call-backs promised and never made. And the one that stings most, nobody taking ownership of the problem.
Most firms put up with it, because moving feels riskier than staying.
Here is the thing though. Nearly all of that is downstream of one choice: whether your provider works reactively or proactively. A reactive provider waits for you to notice something is broken and then queues your ticket. Everything you dislike about IT support follows from that.
The best support call is the one you never had to make
We run it the other way round. The work happens before you would have noticed.
Prevented
Patching, hardening and access control on a schedule, not when something breaks. Most intrusions use a hole that was already known about and already had a fix available. Closing those on a schedule removes the incident before it exists.
Caught early
Continuous monitoring across your machines and your Microsoft 365, with AI-assisted threat detection watching for the behaviour of an attack rather than matching a list of known viruses. When something odd happens an alert fires and it gets picked up. Often that means we contact you, rather than you contacting us.
Already in hand
When something does need fixing, we are usually on it before it reaches your desk. You get told what happened and what we did, in plain English, rather than having to ask.
Proven, not assumed
Backups are restored and checked, not just reported as successful. Running and restoring are different claims. Only one of them saves you.
Proactive is not an attitude, it is what you run
Any provider can say they are proactive. It only means something if the tooling underneath it can actually see problems coming, and most cheap stacks cannot.
We run the Datto stack: continuous monitoring, AI-assisted threat detection, managed patching, and backup with verified restores. That is enterprise-grade tooling, the same class used in the regulated environments Eric spent twenty years securing, sized for a firm of 10 to 50.
Your Microsoft licensing stays yours
We work bring your own licence. Your Microsoft 365 subscription is bought direct from Microsoft in your own tenant, so you are never locked into our contract to keep your own email and files. If you ever leave, your licences leave with you.
Budget roughly £10 to £17 per user per month on top, paid straight to Microsoft, depending on whether you need Business Standard or Business Premium. If security is the reason you are reading this page, it is usually Premium, because that is the tier the security tooling sits in. Those are Microsoft’s UK list prices excluding VAT on an annual commitment, correct as of August 2026.
We manage that licensing for you. We do not resell it and we do not mark it up.
That is the actual difference between a provider who reacts and one who prevents. Not effort. Equipment, and the process to run it.
The person who scopes your security is the person who runs it
Twenty years securing systems for hospitals, government and national infrastructure, now pointed at businesses on the Wirral. No account managers, no hand-offs, no juniors learning on your network. The person who picks up already knows your setup, because he built it.
We work to the NCSC’s frameworks and run our own environment to Cyber Essentials standards.
- Ring us and a person picks up, not a queue. Anything you send in writing has a reply within 2 working hours. That is the standard we work to.
- Secured in 7 Days, or that month is on us.
- After your first year, rolling 30-day notice. No exit fees.
Worried the switch itself will be painful?
That is the most common reason firms stay with a provider they no longer rate. So we take the risk out of it. Nothing for your team to prepare, no downtime day, and we handle the handover with your current provider including the awkward conversation.
The aim is that you notice the switch because things went quiet, not because anything broke.
Based on the Wirral, not a call centre somewhere else
We work from the Wirral, with businesses across the Wirral, Birkenhead, Wallasey, Ellesmere Port, Liverpool and Chester. Remote where it is faster, on site where it helps, and the same senior engineer either way.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does proactive actually mean in practice?
It means the work is scheduled rather than triggered by you noticing something. Patching and hardening happen on a cycle. Monitoring runs continuously across your machines and your Microsoft 365. Backups are restored and checked rather than reported as successful. The measure of it working is that you have fewer reasons to ring us, not that we answer faster when you do.
How quickly do you respond?
Ring us and a person picks up, not a queue. Anything you send in writing has a reply within 2 working hours. That is the standard we work to. Monitoring runs continuously, so alerts are raised as they happen rather than waiting for someone to look. Where something needs attention outside working hours, that is agreed in advance and scoped, not implied.
We already have antivirus. Why do we need more?
Traditional antivirus catches known threats by matching them against a list. Modern attacks use fileless techniques and legitimate tools already on the machine, which never appear on that list. Behavioural detection watches for what an attack does rather than what it is called, which is the difference between catching something new and missing it.
What happens if we get hit by ransomware?
The stack is built to isolate the affected machines and stop the spread, then restore from backups that have already been proven by an actual restore. That is the outcome the design is aimed at, and it is why we test restores rather than trusting a green tick on a backup report.
Do you work alongside our existing IT provider?
Yes. We can act as the specialist security layer while your existing provider handles day-to-day support. It works when the boundary is written down and both sides know where their responsibilities start and stop, so that is the first thing we agree.
Do you help with Cyber Essentials and insurer requirements?
Yes. The controls we put in place map onto the Cyber Essentials scheme and the questions insurers now ask at renewal, and we can produce the evidence you need to answer them. We run our own environment to Cyber Essentials standards.
Find out where you actually stand
The Free Cyber Health Check is the same review we run at the start of a paid engagement: your exposure, your Microsoft 365 security, whether your backups would really restore, and a written fix list you keep. Whatever you decide to do next, you will know where you stand.
