Hilt Digital is a managed IT support and cyber security company for small offices across the Wirral, Liverpool and Cheshire. It’s Eric’s own firm. He scopes the work, does the work and picks up the phone, with twenty years of hospital, government and national-infrastructure systems behind him and no group above him.

Why it exists
Small offices were getting big-company IT support, badly
Eric spent twenty years inside large organisations, a good stretch of it as an engineer in NHS mental health services, then on government and national infrastructure. The systems were serious and the standards were high. What he noticed on the way out was that the small businesses around him, the estate agent, the accountant, the showroom, were paying for IT support that was a ticket queue and an invoice, and getting neither the standard nor a person.
Hilt Digital was set up to give a two-to-thirty-person office the same discipline the big places take for granted: backups that are tested, machines that are watched, sign-in security that’s actually on, and one engineer who knows the setup and answers when you ring. At a price that’s on the page.

What “an IT support company” means here
A person picks up
Ring in the day and it’s Eric. Anything in writing has a reply within two working hours. Most IT support problems are fixed on your screen in minutes, remotely.
Security is built into the support
Antimalware, updates, tested backups and multi-factor sign-in are part of the monthly fee, run to Cyber Essentials standards. Cyber security isn’t a separate scare here.
The price is on the page
£55 a person a month for managed IT support, £35 a machine for charities. Servers and network kit per box, only if they need it. Nobody’s surprised by an invoice.
Remote first, local when it helps
Eric’s on the Wirral. If your office is in Liverpool, Chester, Ellesmere Port or Warrington, managed IT support from us fixes almost every problem remotely.
Independent, and staying that way
Nothing to resell, no group above the company, no account manager between you and the engineer. You won’t ring in a year and find a different name on the invoice.

Are you an IT support company or a consultancy?
Both, and it's the same person. Day to day, Hilt Digital is a managed IT support company for small offices across the Wirral, Liverpool and Cheshire. The consultancy side is Eric's background: twenty years designing and securing systems for hospitals, government and national infrastructure. Small firms get that standard without paying consultancy rates for it.
How big is Hilt Digital?
Small, on purpose. Eric runs it, does the work and answers the phone. The tools behind him do the monitoring, patching and backups at a scale a one-person firm couldn't otherwise offer. If your business needs a fifty-person helpdesk, we'll say so and point you at one.
Where are you based?
Eric's on the Wirral. Support is remote first, which is what fixes things fastest, and visits are by arrangement across Merseyside and Cheshire. The registered office is in London because that's where the accountant is; nobody works there.
Who are your customers?
Offices of two to thirty people with nobody whose job is the computers: estate agents, accountants, showrooms, clinics, trades with an office, charities and community groups. The sector pages say what's different for each.
What do you not do?
We don't resell hardware at a margin, we don't manage kit that doesn't need managing, we don't do long tie-ins, and we don't sell security as a separate scare. If your setup doesn't need us, Eric will say so on the call.
